Warner Bros. and Legendary’s “Dune: Part Two” is enjoying the biggest opening weekend the box office has seen in nearly five months. After taking in $32 million through Friday, Denis Villeneuve’s sci-fi epic is set for a $75 million-plus opening weekend from 4,071 screens.

That’s the highest opening weekend since the $80 million opening of “Five Nights at Freddy’s” in October and lifts overall domestic grosses above $100 million for the first time since the last weekend of 2023.

It’s also well above the $41 million opening weekend of the first “Dune,” which opened in October 2021 amidst COVID-19 concerns and with a day-and-date release on streaming.

Having seen (as much as I could stand) both of the new Dune movies, they’re embarrassingly bad. Despite having the most unappealing and unskilled cast imaginable, there are also a few woke elements that make truly awful films even worse. In complete seriousness, these positive reviews are probably planted as the movie is a showcase of bad acting, extraordinarily bad cast choices that are completely unbelievable and actors that are chosen for DEI, and not to make a good movie. Compared to the original, this movie travesty doesn’t even merit mention in film history, except as an example of how broken Hollywood is now. I sincerely believe in a few years it will be viewed only as a parody of the original film.

Your politics are showing…full of conspiracies. What is the reason that the vast majority of the people who have seen the film and almost all the critics have loved it? Why all those reviews must’ve been planted! Obviously.
Sort of like that guy that twice lost the national public vote by millions of votes… Must be something wrong with the voting process. Obviously.
