NBC has a hit on its hands with the Jon Cryer-led sitcom “Extended Family.”

The first two episodes of the Mike O’Malley comedy series have reached an audience of 10 million viewers across NBC’s linear and digital platforms as well as Peacock, according to combined Nielsen figures and internal viewing data, TheWrap can reveal exclusively.

“Extended Family,” which also stars Donald Faison, Abigail Spencer, Sofia Capanna and Finn Sweeney, debuted alongside a holiday-themed episode of “Night Court” on Dec. 23, before both shows moved to their regular timeslots on Tuesday, Jan.

    These numbers have to be false. I have looked at the ratings and reviews (as well as watched the show), and although I am a fan of all three, the show is unfunny (the opposite of what comedy is supposed to be). Professional and personal reviews all share the same sentiment. A quick Google search across various sites will back up my claims. I do not believe this article to be accurate. You cannot tell me it did better than Night Court. It is Universal at work. They will cancel the show unless it catches a giant stride and does a 180. Also, the laugh track is horrid.

    Agree 100% the show was so boring, far from being funny and if it makes it past one season I’ll be shocked!

    Hello! I concur. What an outright lie. The Wrap needs to do better research to remain credible. So strange. I Googled as well. Also, it continues to DROP in the ratings each week! Ugh.
